I'm not sure why you read my "Go ask Alice" comment as condescending, you were obviously having a bad day because it was not even meant to sound like that. I was just surprised, asking: You had never read that book before?

How can a question sound condescending?

I was surprised because we usually have the same book taste, and we study it in school here in Canada.

It was not to be like "Ha ha I read it before you" or "Wow you must be stupid if you haven't read that book" sort of way- but it's that's the way you wish to read my comment, then whatever,

Just because you haven't read a book doesn't make you an idiot and if you think that's what I was implying- well whatever, you don't know me well then.

I'm so excited about this surgery it's all I can think about. It's really a dream come true. I am scared of getting my hopes up because this matters so much to me.

I've done my research (and read everything about 100 times over) and I am so seriously excited but scared of getting my hopes crushed.

I'm so thankful that one of my good friends had the surgery in '05 and can help me step by step along the way. I don't expect it to be easy but I do expect it to gain me the resources I need to make this happen permanently once and for all.

Being skinny isin't new to me, but I've only been a few years in my life because of genes and other reason, the number 1 being I don't feel full.

Everyone around me is so supportive.

I can't wait!
